Comparing the Same Series
Introduction
The Compare Same Series option creates a temporary reading protocol step that displays up to three comparisons for the same series, for a patient in a 1x2, 1x3 or 1x4 layout. For example, if a patient has multiple MG studies, you can create a temporary reading protocol step that compares up to three available RMLO studies for that patient.

This Reading Protocol step is temporary. However, if you take a Snapshot, this temporary Reading Protocol step will be available in that Snapshot.
Steps
- Select an image in the Viewer that you want to compare with other available studies for your patient.
- Right-click the image to display the image context menu.
- Select Layout Navigation > Compare Same Series.
Results
Synapse displays a temporary reading protocol step that compares the same series name for that patient.
Additional Options

Click Compare Same Series
on the icon menu.
- Press ALT + G to create a temporary compare series with a keyboard shortcut.
