Configuring Reference Line Settings

Introduction

For CT, PT, and MR studies, reference lines show relationships between images in different series.

When you configure reference lines in User Settings, Synapse automatically opens a CT or MR study with the references lines option. You can, however, manually change the reference line option for a study with the context menu. When you end the session, Synapse reverts to the User Settings option.

Steps

  1. To access User Settings, do one of the following:

Complete these steps...

Open User Settings from the Viewer.

Right-click User Settings .

Open User Settings from the Worklist.

Click  User Settings on the Worklist toolbar.

Open User Settings from PowerJacket.

Click  User Settings on the PowerJacket toolbar.

  1. Click Image Display and select Cross Reference.
  2. Select one of the following:

    If you want to do this...

    Choose this option...

    Show no reference lines on the images.

    Select None.

    Show a single reference line on the corresponding series based on the current image displayed in reference series.

    Select Single.

    Show the first and last reference line (shown as dashed lines) and also show the reference line (shown as a solid line) on the corresponding series based on the current image displayed in reference series.

    Select First and Last.

Results

Synapse automatically saves any updated options and displays the following message in the bottom left corner of the window: Successfully saved.

Synapse displays the following message to alert you that an action must be taken for the settings to apply: Refresh the Synapse browser window for settings to apply.
