Exporting Images
Introduction
Synapse supports the export of images or a series for the following file types:
- AVI
- JPEG
- PNG
- PDF (Portable Document Format)
You can export 250 images in a single export.
- To export more than a 250 images, you must do multiple exports.
- Although you can export up to 250 images at a time, you might experience a noticeable delay when exporting a large number of images.
Once exported from the Synapse Viewer, you can print files in supported formats using standard operating system print functions. If your network includes a DICOM printer, you can print to that.
Note: |
Your choices persist across Synapse work sessions, effectively updating factory default settings. |
Steps
- Right-click the image to display the image context menu.
- Select Export/Print > Export. Synapse displays the Export/Print Data dialog box.
- Select the export data format.
- PNG
- JPEG (factory default)
- AVI
- Save to PACS (See Exporting 3D Images)
- Select one of the Scope options:
- All images in a series
- Selected images
- Current Image (the factory default)
- Select one or more Output options.
- Available options might vary depending on the selected export data format.
-
Because PNG is a lossless image format, PNG files automatically export at the highest possible quality. The JPEG and AVI export formats let you optionally set (or reset) quality parameters:
- The Quality field for JPEG accepts whole numbers between 10 and 100, with a default setting of 90.
-
The FPS field is only used for AVI, which is a video format. FPS defaults to 31 but accepts whole numbers between 1 and 60.
- Click Export. Export behavior varies by browser. Save the file to the required location.
