Using the DICOM Structured Report or DICOM PDF Viewer

Introduction

If a DICOM Structured Report (SR) or DICOM PDF file is associated with a study, you can open either report to view the information. For example, a dose report might be associated with a CT study.

  • To make it easier to associate a DICOM SR or PDF with a study, Synapse displays the study icons in the DICOM SR/PDF Viewer header.
  • A document count also displays in the DICOM SR/PDF Viewer header. For example, a 1/4 indicates that the first of four documents is currently displaying for a study.
  • Synapse displays all SR or PDF reports for studies with an active study icon in the Studylist.
  • If an SR or PDF report does not exist for the study, the pane displays with the following text: No SR/PDF report available for the selected study.

Steps

  1. Open a study with a DICOM SR or PDF associated with the study in the Viewer.
  2. Click DICOM Structured Report and PDF Viewer on the Viewer toolbar. Synapse opens the DICOM SR/PDF Viewer.
