Enabling Automatic Logoff

Introduction

You can change the timeout parameter your workstation uses to log you off automatically, or you can disable the feature so that you only log off manually. By default, Synapse logs you off automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Steps

  1. To access User Settings, do one of the following:

If you want to do this...

Complete these steps...

Open User Settings from the Viewer.

Right-click User Settings .

Open User Settings from the Worklist.

Click  User Settings on the Worklist toolbar.

Open User Settings from PowerJacket.

Click  User Settings on the PowerJacket toolbar.

 

  1. Click General to display setting options. Select the logoff options you want to use:

If you want to do this...

Choose this option...

Use automatic logoff, but change the timeout parameter.

  • Place your cursor in the text box and backspace to delete the current setting.
  • Enter the preferred time out setting, using only whole numbers.
  • Click Save. The following prompt displays: Refresh or reopen the Viewer for settings to apply.

Disable automatic logoff.

  • Clear the Enable automatic logoff check box.
  • Click Save. The following prompt displays: Refresh or reopen the Viewer for settings to apply.
