Enabling and Disabling Reading Protocols

Introduction

You can disable a reading protocol that you created, if you do not want Synapse to display the reading protocol in the Reading Protocol drop-down menu on the Viewer toolbar. Disabling a reading protocol preserves the reading protocol for future use.

Note:

Protected reading protocols cannot be disabled. Consult your System Administrator to disable system reading protocols.

Steps

  1. To access User Settings, do one of the following:

Complete these steps...

Open User Settings from the Viewer.

Right-click User Settings .

Open User Settings from the Worklist.

Click  User Settings on the Worklist toolbar.

Open User Settings from PowerJacket.

Click  User Settings on the PowerJacket toolbar.

  1. Select the Reading Protocols tab to display the RP Directory.
  2. Press CTRL or Shift and left-click to select multiple reading protocols, and then right-click and select Disable from the image context menu. Synapse no longer displays the disabled reading protocols in the Reading Protocol drop-down menu on the Viewer toolbar.
  3. Optional: Right-click one or more disabled reading protocols and select Enable. Synapse displays the restored reading protocols in the Reading Protocol drop-down menu on the Viewer toolbar.

Results

In the RP Directory, Synapse displays true in the Disabled column for any of the reading protocols you disabled.
