Resetting Your Password

Introduction

Synapse users who log directly into the application and do not rely on Windows authentication have the option to reset their Synapse password.

Steps

1. From the Synapse log in window, click Forgot password. The Forgot password dialog box displays.
2. Enter your Username in the text box and click Rest Password. Synapse displays a message that an email has been sent to your email account.
3. Open the reset email and click Reset Password. A Reset password dialog box displays.
4. Type your new password into the New Password text box.
5. Type your new password again into the Confirm Password text box.
6. Click Change Password. The log in dialog box displays.
7. Enter your user name and new password to log into Synapse.
